Epic Warcraft

June 29, 2008 at 10:44 pm (Uncategorized)

I have been following this guide for quite sometime. A good guide for leveling and the new level 70, but you find better quides as you progress at capped level. It’s run by one guy from everything I’ve looked at the site who has so far completed three guides out of all of the races of WoW. I haven’t paid enough attention to his other guides, but his warlock guide helped me a lot at the last little grinding I had to do until 70. I think he’s the reason I switched to Affliction until I learned Destruction is clearly better for raids. So, if you’re a new level 70 priest, mage, warlock, or rogue, this site is for you!

NOTE: This site advertises WoW account selling. Off the Set does not support account selling/gold selling and is not responsible for anyone who clicks the MMoBay link. That you for your time.

GaiaOnline

June 27, 2008 at 8:42 pm (Uncategorized)

You may, or may not of heard me talk a little about this on The Geek Media, but if you haven’t, here we go! GaiaOnline is an online social site sort of like MySpace, but more user-friendly and for all ages. This site has everything from personal profiles to games like Pinball, Jigsaw, and Cards! You can customize your own personal avatar with clothes a plenty from the various shops and every now and again, the GaiaOnline staff hosts an event like the most recent was the Vampires vs. the Humans, quite fun since you were able to turn your avi (avatar) into a vamp (vampire). The best part is, it’s all free!!! The only way the website makes money is off it’s online store like The Spark! and Oxhorn does, meaning totally legit. Also, once a month, Gaia releases Monthly Collectibles for your avi that costs $2.50US, but those are the only things that require US dollers. Quite a fun little site, it connects all sorts of geeks just like The Geek Media! That’s all, see ya’ll next post!

Bitefight

June 26, 2008 at 12:08 am (Uncategorized)

I have been playing this browser web game for sometime now and it’s actually pretty addicting. It’s against Vampires and Werewolves fighting for survival and there’s so much to do. You can build a house, join a clan, create a clan (Probably for a modest fee), make a wage by working in the graveyard, buy stuff, become a premium member, or as they call it, a Shadow-Lord! You can also buy these Hellstones that let you buy special stuff, but they cost real world money. Create buddies, attack other people (It’s a PvP web game), message people, raid against the vampires/werewolves, or write in your Notepad. I’m sure there are a lot of other things you can do, but I don’t know, I’ve only played this game for two days now! See you all later!

Be.Imba.Hu

June 24, 2008 at 11:22 pm (Uncategorized)

Now, I know the Epic Dolls already talked about this on their blog/pod cast, but I don’t care. :P Anyway, http://be.imba.hu/ is a must website if you raid in WoW at capped level, whether that being 70, or 80 in the upcoming expansion which I’m looking forward to pre-order! :) Imba cuts down your character and tells you what you should improve, what you are doing good on, it even warns you if you’re in PvP gear … since this is a PvE oriented website for Karazhan-Sunwell although it does tell you what your spec is best suited for, PvE, PvP, or Grinding (Dailies, farming, etc …)

Pregnant Jamie Lynn Speaks Out [FAKE]

June 24, 2008 at 7:15 am (Uncategorized)

I got a kick out of this video. A couple of guys took a video camera and filmed two young toddlers calling them Jamie and Britney Spears. As soon as I saw this, I immediantly thought The Onion posers. You know, just a couple of guys filming a video for fans enjoyment. It starts out with a toddler walking out of a store with a dog in one hand, and a bag of baby food in the other. The GNS [Good Neighbor Stuff] came up and started asking questions about Jamie’s recent pregnacy. Then, she got in the SUV with the “drunk Britney Spears’ aka another toddler drinking bottled water with the GNS asking how Britney feels about her sister’s pregnacy. Then, the thing ends, with them driving off. Absolutly hilarious, I know I already posted about CoH’s fansite, but that’s TGM’s thing. Here is something I found when I went to Youtube just now!

In case this video breaks for some odd reason, here is the link to the video: http://youtube.com/watch?v=y8baqly5cVI

Conquest of Heroes Fansite Launches

June 24, 2008 at 6:41 am (Uncategorized)

From the desk of The Geek Media,

“Anticipating the game Conquest of Heroes? We know we are! A brand new site has been launched today ConquestofHeroesFans.com .

ConquestofHeroesFans.com is an interactive site for everything related to Conquest of Heroes. It features the Burning Man Studios Presents podcast which will include theatrical “plays” from the voice actors themselves and, news on the game. There is also an area for news on the novel; Conquest of Heroes. And, the ability o chat with the development team.

The site also features the latest news on game development. Concept art from our artists team is updated frequently. Music coming up in the game itself…and so much more!

Set your bookmarks geeks and geekettes, this site is a must watch as the game develops.”

Now, for my input. This game sounds amazing from all the plugging Nathan and Candace have done and all the digging I have done and I must say, if I like the podcast, I will become a regular listening when it is released and probably become addicted to the game! :) Hope to see you all on the forums of the fansite! Now, goodnight!

Dreams do come true

June 19, 2008 at 6:09 pm (Uncategorized)

Since I found out about it, my dream has been to apart of it. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, you will find out soon and maybe I’ll have a few more subscribers visit Off the Set after this whole thing is done. Just remember, even though the current URL is http://dieoxide.wordpress.com/, it will always be called Off the Set! A blog being called Dieoxide after the writer is just weird. :P

P.S. Thank you to the person who gave me this dream come true! :)

When does it go to far?

June 17, 2008 at 9:23 pm (Uncategorized)

Exactly when do you cross the gap from something being a game and turning it into a buisness type thing? my guildmaster Leathlu for example is making all of the guild officers site emails [ex. Dieoxide@SolarainLeague.com] to use for guild buisness. I think this is just fine, and nifty cool, but what are your opinions?

I have done it!

June 10, 2008 at 9:29 pm (Uncategorized)

Yesterday as of June 9th 2008 my time, I have finally finished the rest of the LFG comic up to this point. It took about two hours to read volume three to up to volume five and it just gets funnier as it goes. So, if you don’t know it, go check it out and if you do know it, you know how much of a beating it gives you when you attempt to read the whole thing (If you weren’t around at the start, :) ) I love Richard, best warlock ever!
